For Participants
The Big Event is an opportunity for Longwood Students to say "Thank You" to the residents of the Farmville community for the support that they provide to so many Longwood students. Last year was Longwood's first The Big Event, and it proved to be a hit amongst the Longwood participants and the Farmville community alike. This year, the goal for The Big Event is to have over 100 jobs with 1000 Longwood Participants by the event date on March 27th, 2010. Sign up to participate today, and lets reach this goal together!
Participation: We welcome and encourage all Longwood students, faculty, and staff to participate in The Big Event. Participation forms are available below.
In order to be a student participant on the day of The Big Event, there are a few requirements that need to be met. The requirements are:
- Be a student or employee of Longwood University
- Complete and turn in a Student Participation Form
- At least one member from each group/organization, and all participants signing up individually, must attend one of the informational meetings the week leading to The Big Event.
- Devote at least 4 hours of service on the day of The Big Event
- Maintain a fun, positive attitude and a strong desire to say Thank You

3. Meet us behind the Student Union on Lankford Patio at 8:30 am on March 27th 2010 ready to do some good for Farmville!
